Portraits

Solo Gallery Exhibition, 2020

Portraits is a solo gallery exhibition that opened on November 7, 2020 at the Watkins Art Gallery, Unrequited Leisure Gallery, and COOP Gallery in the Packing Plant building in Nashville, TN. The exhibition featured a projection screening room showing a short experimental documentary reel of four “portraits”: Deborah, Enas, Edie, and Mickey. In an adjacent gallery, a two-channel projection installation of an experimental documentary self-portrait, Morgan/All I Have, was installed on two perpendicular walls, meeting in the corner of the space. The show exhibited a series of five large film still prints with accompanying text pieces called, Mise En Scene. Prints are available for purchase.

Documentary Reel: Portraits

A looped 40-minute documentary reel was projected onto the wall in the COOP Gallery with a 6K projector, creating a theater-like space that totally immersed the viewer into the subject’s experience. The reel consists of four short experimental documentaries: Deborah, Enas, Mickey, and Edie. View the entire reel below or see the films separately on their dedicated pages.
