Widow’s Might, 2022

Short film (intentionally silent), projection, 12:00

This short film is an experimental documentary that serves as a reflection about life, death, and love. The title is ambiguous: for some, it may reflect the Biblical parable of that title, in which a poor widow gives her last two coins as an offering at the temple, surrounding everything she has out of love; for others, the word “might” could signify the possibility of widowhood and what comes after the death of a spouse. The film captures the sacrificial aspect of true love, as love is a total self-gift to the other, expecting nothing in return.
